Newcastle WDVCAS Annual Winter Appeal

Assisting Women in Newcastle & Lake Macquarie

Newcastle Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service acknowledges that violence against women and children is a crime. It recognises that domestic violence takes many forms and that the clear majority of victims are women and children.

Our aim is to provide women and children experiencing domestic violence with support, advocacy, referral and information as they negotiate the legal system and to help put an end to violence.

NWDVCAS

The Newcastle Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Services (NWDVCAS) is a locally based, independent service.
What we do
  • We are a service for women and their children seeking information and help about domestic and family violence and how to get protection from the court.

  • Our specialist workers help Aboriginal women, women from multicultural backgrounds, older women and women with disabilities.

  • We support you during the court process. We work with you, your legal representative and the police to make sure the conditions of your AVO suit your needs.
