Domestic Violence Support

Domestic violence includes any behaviour, in an intimate or family relationship, which is violent, threatening, coercive or controlling, causing a person to live in fear.

Domestic violence can include physical, sexual, verbal, psychological, mental, and emotional abuse; stalking; harassment; financial abuse and manipulation; denial of freedom and choice; and control of access to family and friends.

How we can help

We can assist women and children who have experienced or who are experiencing domestic violence to:

  • Understand the ADVO and criminal justice process
  • Obtain effective legal protection from NSW Local Courts through applications for ADVO
  • Obtain an appropriate ADVO to fit your specific needs

  • Access a network of professional services to help with other legal, social and welfare needs

  • Feel supported throughout and after the court process.
