International Women’s Day Morning Tea
NWDVCAS hosted an International Women’s Day Morning Tea and Networking Event on Thursday 12 March 2026 which was held at the NWDVCAS Office in Hamilton North.
Held on Thursday 12th March 2026 at NWDVCAS Office (Hamilton North).
Newcastle Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service (NWDVCAS) welcomed approximately 60 attendees to come together in recognition of International Women’s Day 2026, with this year’s theme #GiveToGain and #BalanceTheScales.
The morning tea and networking event provided a valuable opportunity for service providers, community members and supporters to connect, strengthen professional relationships and reflect on the importance of working together to support women and children experiencing domestic and family violence.
Guests enjoyed light refreshments, networking opportunities and the chance to connect with others across our community, all while acknowledging the importance of continuing to advocate for safety, equality and opportunity for women.
As part of the event, NWDVCAS held a raffle featuring several generous prizes donated by local businesses and supporters, raising $2,400 to assist the service in supporting women and children experiencing domestic and family violence.
Funds raised will go towards meeting the immediate safety needs of clients, including assistance with safe transport to and from court, security cameras, lock changes, food, and other essential items.
Thank you to everyone who attended, purchased raffle tickets and supported this event. Your support helps us continue the important work of assisting women and children in our community.
