Primary Health Network (PHN) – Primary Care Pathways to Safety: The Readiness Program pilot
What is the PHN pilot?
The PHN pilot will provide GP’s and practice staff with skills and resources to respond to victims disclosing domestic violence. The pilot will equip GPs with a referral pathway to WDVCAS.
GPs may contact NWDVCAS and request supporting a client at an appointment, either by phone or in-person.
WDVCAS Role
The Hunter-New England PHN has partnered with Newcastle WDVCAS to undertake the pilot in their region. GPs in the Hunter-New England PHN will make referrals for female victims of DV to Newcastle WDVCAS via Medical Objects, a secure online portal.
