A Domestic Violence Service Mapping Forum held by NWDVCAS for social and justice related services in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie to do short presentations on their services.

NWDVCAS welcomed local services to attend our Domestic Violence Service Mapping Forum 2021.

2020 was a year of change. The Newcastle DV sector has faced challenges in service delivery, funding and capacity, and we have welcomed many new people into the fold. This forum was an opportunity to (re)connect, to put names to faces and to collectively develop a cohesive understanding of the current DV networks in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

Services were invited to present a 3 minute presentation on their service including the following:

  • Who they are/ their mission statement/ aims
  • Who they support
  • Their geographical area
  • Referral pathways
  • Which services they usually work with
  • Which services they would like to work with more?

There was a time for questions at the end. Following the presentations a panel was held to discuss ‘where to next..?’
